Your connection

Elsewhere encrypts network traffic between paired devices using WireGuard. Private encryption keys stay on the devices. The relay carries encrypted packets and needs connection metadata, including device network addresses and enrollment identifiers, to route them. Encryption does not hide that metadata.

Elsewhere provides a private network connection. The desktop, file-sharing and other applications you use across it have their own permissions and privacy behavior.

Support reports

The private preview can save connection reports on your computer and to the pilot’s configured support folder. Reports include app version, connection state, private addresses, timestamps and traffic or failure counters. They do not contain screen recordings, file contents, passwords or private encryption keys. Pilot support reports are separate from the encrypted connection itself.

Trial and billing

The planned subscription service stores activation, trial, enrollment and subscription records on the server. Card details will be handled by the payment provider. Billing is not open in this preview, and installing the current private build does not start a paid subscription.
