A little help getting started.

The setup wizard opens Mail’s Extensions settings and shows you what to click. A quick local check uses temporary samples, then discards them.

Your files stay your files.

Original file contents are preserved. Recognizable signature images stay in place. Recipient mail apps decide how to display previews and attachment indicators.

Your mail stays yours.

Attachments are prepared on your Mac. No extra account, password or sending service. Anonymous crash summaries are optional and off by default.

Made for Apple Mail.

Requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. You enable the extension in Mail and keep its compose checkmark on when you want attachments prepared. That checkmark activates processing; Attached for Mail does not digitally sign or encrypt messages. It is not a replacement for a security extension.

Free, with no subscription or in-app purchases. App Store availability is subject to Apple’s review.
